Milestones in CLIMATECH’s History
The idea: A full-service company for the installation of air conditioning- and ventilation systems for commercial and residential clients. Highly qualified installers and engineers are available. A company, however, is not yet founded.
1996
CLIMATECH – a name for the company has been chosen. Under the name of CLIMATECH AG the first branch of the CLIMATECH-Group is founded in Cunnersdorf/Leipzig with ten employees. Its expertise covers the complete range of refrigeration- and air-handling services to include advisory service, design, installation, as well as maintenance, inspections, repair- and corrective maintenance services. The company’s objective: Fully satisfied clients.
CLIMATECH – the name suggested itself: A combination of climate and technology. The international sound of the name would soon show to have a favorable effect on the company’s future. The volume of assignments will quickly rise from smaller projects to large-scale building projects. The number of customers has increased and so has the demand for service- and maintenance features.
1996 - 2000
A progressive expansion of its business enables CLIMATECH to considerably increase the number of staff members over the following years. New qualified employees and promising apprentices join the team.
2000
CLIMATECH Service GmbH is founded as an independently working service division of CLIMATECH. Its main responsibilities include maintenance, repair works, inspections and damage repairs – carried out by 16 qualified employees.
The service portfolio now also covers the following features: Technical building management, energy management and plant management, as well as duct system cleaning, measuring of air volume and inspections of fire protection components.
2001
Foundation of CLIMATECH Kälte GmbH in Siebenlehn / Nossen. Fields of expertise: Installation and maintenance of large-scale refrigeration systems with 14 employees.
CLIMATECH is expanding its working area – in a first step to Siebenlehn / Nossen. Within the CLIMATECH-Group, CLIMATECH Kälte GmbH covers the complete range of medium-sized and large-scale refrigeration systems, including cold water- and direct evaporation systems for clients on the commercial and industrial sector.
2002
CLIMATECH Contracting GmbH is founded. As an independently working sub-division of the CLIMATECH-Group this branch office is in charge of all contract settlements and provides advisory- and support service for projects and financing related issues - two employees.
The CLIMATECH-Group is expanding constantly and the opening up of new markets becomes an important objective. CLIMATECH intensifies its co-operation with globally-acting supplier and dealer networks. The group has now clients all over Germany and in other European countries.
2003
CLIMATECH moves its headquarters from Cunnersdorf to Leipzig . The new three-storey building in Leipzig’s Stöhrerstraße provides a more spacious, brighter and more pleasant working environment for a young and highly motivated company and its employees.
In October, CLIMATECH gets certified according to SCC and ISO 9001 and thus optimizes the safety standards in all of the company’s divisions.
What a year! A large-scale project in Berlin! CLIMATECH equips the Olympic Stadium – Germany’s most prestigious venue for all kinds of sports and cultural events – with ventilation- and air conditioning systems.
2004
CLIMATECH Montage GmbH is the newest member of the CLIMATECH-Group, opening up a new market: Shop-fitting. In addition, the CLIMATECH Montage GmbH supports all activities in the residential sector. With 24 staff members, CLIMATECH Montage GmbH makes up the biggest branch of the CLIMATECH-Group.
The demand for shop-fitting services increases among individual clients and corporate chains. CLIMATECH delivers and installs air conditioning- and ventilation systems for reputable corporate chain stores such as Tommy Hilfiger, TALLY WEIJL, Marco Polo or Douglas. The assembling and installation of ventilation- and air conditioning systems for residential use make up another important field of activity – CLIMATECH equips everything from privately owned houses to glamorous mansions, design and technical advice included.
2006
In March, CLIMATECH Vertriebsgesellschaft mbH is founded in order to further optimize all services related to the industrial sector and comfort areas. The main focus is on the design and delivery of large-scale refrigeration systems.
More comfort: CLIMATECH’s unbiased and competent advisory service ensures sophisticated solutions that are specifically tailored to its clients, balancing individual wishes with requirements and suitability.
Whether a new air conditioning system needs to be installed or an old system needs to be replaced, CLIMATECH always provides high-quality and precisely designed cooling technology that complies with energy and environmental requirements.
In close co-operation with reputable manufactures CLIMATECH distributes the whole range of ventilation and air conditioning products.
CLIMATECH in Berlin: CLIMATECH Berlin GmbH is founded in June 2006 and joins the CLIMATECH-Group as its latest member. With 12 employees, this Berlin based branch focuses mainly on the residential sector. With the newly founded Berlin based office, CLIMATECH continues to focus on its main objective: opening up new markets, broadening its customer target groups and expanding its business relations northwards.
2007
Premiere in Germany: The CLIMATECH-Group installs the country’s biggest heat recovery system. 14 outdoor units and 210 indoor units distributed over 7 floors are installed at the Hotel Berlin in the German capital.
Expansion of international activities: Shop-fitting for TALLY WEiJL in Switzerland and ZARA in Norway and Sweden. A working project at the luxury Royal Yacht Hotel in Jersey leads the CLIMATECH-Group to the UK.
2008
Tailor-made service in Leipzig: CLIMATECH equips the centrally situated Seaside Park Hotel with high-quality air conditioning technology – during full-time operation of the hotel.
A corporate film is being produced that gives a detailed insight into the CLIMATECH-Group. The companies and their services are portrayed in a documentary style film.
CLIMATECH at the Côte d’Azur, France: Installation of air conditioning systems at the La Corniche d´Or Hotels at Cannes’ waterside promenade. Other major projects in 2008 include: shop-fitting for ZARA in Croatia and for TALLY WEiJL in Paris and Esprit in Lausanne.
2009
The international expansion continues: CLIMATECH equips several stores of the Tommy Hilfiger Corporation in Austria and France and an air base on Sardinia with HVAC-technology.
At three different locations more than 80 employees are currently working to achieve the main objective of the CLIMATECH-Group: More comfort.
